Feather River Shortline Railroad

On our Train Trip to Oregon and California from July 30 to August 8 1999, one stop we made was to the Feather River Shortline Railroad. This small 4 mile trip was great, mainly for the reason that I got us a cab ride! Started talking to the engineer, asking questions, in the end, he invites me and George Quiles into the cab for the trip, about 40 minutes! The ride itself is very scenic and relaxing. There is a small 600 or 800 foot long tunnel on the route. Going through it in the cab, well, lets just say it got to about 150°F in there very quickly. Just wanted to thank the engineer for allowing me to ride up with him, thanks...
